Management of further education of academic staff

The topic of the diploma thesis is the management of further education of academic staff at a selected faculty, a part of a university-type university. The aim of the work is to analyze and describe the management system of continuing education of academic staff and to propose improvements in this area. The diploma thesis contains a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part is based on professional literature and deals with the concepts: university, academic worker, lifelong education, adult education, further professional education, corporate education. In the chapter entitled Universities and academic staff we will find the history, meaning and characteristics of universities, clarification of the term academic staff and a description of the competences of a university pedagogue. In the chapter entitled Corporate (company) education, you can find, among other things, areas of vocational training of employees, the system and strategy of corporate education, forms and methods of corporate education, provision of corporate education and approaches to employee development. Intercultural differences in management in childcare facilities

The thesis focuses on the analysis of the management of selected organizations providing care for young children in terms of intercultural differences in the management style and principles of their managers from the majority society. The analysis is based primarily on the work of Geert Hofstede and Robert House, who revealed the sociological phenomenon of cultural dimensions. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to an analysis of the current legislative framework for the provision of early childhood education in Czech Republic and the position and role of the school or non-profit organization director as a manager. Special attention is paid to the concept of intercultural management as a specific area of people management and the basic theories of cultural dimensions of Geert Hofstede and Robert House are discussed, including the framing of the whole situation in the context of the Czech social and cultural environment. Managerial work of the representatives of directors in the kindergartens with four classes in Prague 4, 11 and 12 Abstrakt: The bachelor thesis discusses managerial work of the representatives of directors in the kindergartens with four classes in Prague 4, 11 and 12. It also discusses the delegation of managerial functions to the representatives of directors. It deals with cooperation between directors and their representatives, determines their level of managerial competence from the perspective of themselves and also from the perspective of directors. Bachelor thesis compares conditions of the representatives of kindergartens directors for their managerial activities and compares work of the statutory representatives and leading teachers. Analysis of the secondary schools optimization project in the town of Varnsdorf

The subject of the thesis is to analyze the optimization of secondary schools in Varnsdorf from procedures of the preparation, negotiations and approval process, to its realization. There search is based on data obtained through two of qualitative research methods: Participatory observation Analysis of documents - artifacts The thesis conclusion is based on triangulation, the penetration of various research methods, and contains, among others, recommendations for the Ministry of Education, Department of Regional Education Offices, regional councilors, and management of schools that prepare optimization projects. Particular attention is given to the impact of the optimization on the College and Secondary School in Varnsdorf.
Analysis of the Means of the Implementation of Teachers' In-service Education from the Management Perspective

In-service education of teachers represents one of the key parts of strategic development of the Czech system of education. The work focuses on the problem from the perspective of the school`s management and analyses the part it plays in implementation of in-service education. The aim of the work is to interpret the ways how in-service education is approached and the means of its implementation in primary and secondary schools. The work itself is divided into two main parts. The characteristics of in-service education and the state of the art are described in the first part. The approach of the management of schools to the problems of in- service education is analyzed through the questionnaire in the second part. At the end of the work, the conclusions resulting from this inquiry are described in detail.

Diploma Thesis: An analysis of the results from educational projects focused on the value attitudes of secondary school pupils that compares two concrete educational projects - Jeden svět na školách by NGO People in Need and Příběhy našich sousedů Post Bellum civic society. In the theoretical part, the thesis presents sources of civic and media education and the link between legislative and strategic documents in the Czech Republic thanks to the International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS) also under international comparison. In the practical part, the thesis focuses on the comparison of methodological, pedagogical, and other aspects of educational projects and solves questions regarding management and the meeting of set targets. 1 ABSTRACT This thesis deals with the educational management of the teaching staff supervising the state graduation exams. The theoretical part explains the concept of educational management and focuses in detail on the managerial function of organization. It describes the current form of the state graduation exams, related legislation and institutions involved. The thesis explains the staffing of graduation exams and individual training programs for teachers, and clarifies the role of further education of teachers. The aim of the work is to optimize the organization surrounding the education of teachers supervising the state graduation exams in Prague and Central Bohemia. The data in the presented research were collected via a survey among participants of the education related to the state graduation exams in Prague and Central Bohemia in the school year of 2015/2016 and interviews with lecturers of relevant training programs.
